What
we offer
Sam Tso offers guided tours through
a variety of Indigenous and Geological sites throughout Northern Arizona. He will cater tours to the individuals
or groups desire. Sam, as a tour guide, can take people to many places with Flagstaff as the hub.
The Dine (Navajo) live within the four sacred mountains. "Dookooosliid," the San Fransisco Peaks
is the western boundary and ranges from 7000 to 8500 feet. This unique ponderosa forest is a medicine gathering
place and home to sacred springs. Sam utilizes these in his teachings.
Surrounding areas include the
Painted Desert, Oak Creek Canyon, the Grand Canyon, the Mogollon Rim, the Navajo Reservation, Sedona, Wapatki Indian ruins,
Sunset Crater, volcanic rivers, as well as many other locations.
One popular tour
includes a visit to a petrified forest separate from the National Park, followed by a trip to Coal Mine Canyon where you can
hear the earth move, and finally to Picture-Wall Canyon to see hyroglyphs and ruins. These locations are near Sam's
childhood home on the Navajo Reservation. Usually this trip is followed by a buffalo burger or frybread tacos at the
Hopi Cultural Center and Restaurant. You can also look forward to shopping at Cameron Trading Post or on the
reservation for many traditional goods such as jewelry and fine-crafted Navajo rugs.
Sam also does hands on traditional medicine. His techniques combine massage, acupressure, skeletal adjustments,
energy balancing, and herbal remedies according to the client’s preference. Sam has a keen insight
and many say he is a human MRI. These hands-on sessions are usually an hour long.
Other activities include talking circles, where Sam uses words to heal. Life can be
trying, and many traditional stories can apply to our hectic, busy life styles today. Integrated with traditional sweat
lodge sessions, you will truely feel cleansed inside and out.
A
tour or healing session with Sam insures an educational view not found in commercial venues. These are
tailor made to the individual or group. Rates depend on desires and needs. The seasons
of the year determine the form of the programs offered. If you have additional interests in a particular
site or activity, there are many other options to explore. Please contact us for more information.
